Why Work With Us?

Why Support Us?

We fully understand that the audio production review niche is pretty full of various YouTube channels, blogs and websites, and that you probably receive a ton of requests for products each and every day, but we believe however, that we should be considered, as we feel we have a different approach to reviews, that makes us an attractive partner.

To put it simply, we believe that we offer one of the best value propositions when it comes to reviews and content. We see plenty of reviews and sponsored content, where someone takes a product, speed-runs a shallow review, and then never mentions the product again. That is not how we work.

We also understand that different readers/viewers want different things, so with every product we review, the content is split into different sections, on different platforms.

We aim to provide short-form content for those who want the talking points in the shortest time, longer videos and articles for those who want something a little longer, and even raw data from testing for the real ‘engineers’ out there. This content will generally be split as follows;

The Unboxing
This will be two videos, a somewhat short unboxing that will be published on YouTube and our website, and the same video with a slightly snappier edit that will be published on TikTok for those who prefer that shorter-form content.

The Review
The form of the review will very much depend on the product being reviewed. Most of the reviews will be longer-form written content published directly on our site, whereas some will be longer videos that will be cross-posted to our website and YouTube. Some reviews, where it suits the product, will be done as both written and video content. These reviews will all share the same attributes: honest, impartial reviews that give the potential customers the information they need to make informed purchasing decisions. Alongside any and all video reviews, a shorter, snappier version of the review will be edited for TikTok.

Peripheral Content
All applicable written reviews will also feature supporting media to help reinforce the showcasing of the product. This will mainly be a wealth of audio examples, and in most cases will feature a range of sources, styles, and settings. A good example of this would be with say a multi-pattern microphone, the supporting audio examples would include a number of different sources (such as male and female vocals, acoustic guitar etc), in a number of performance styles (genres and styles for singing, and playing styles, such as strumming, picking etc got instruments), as well as different technical settings (such as different polar patterns). This is because we want to showcase as much of each and every product as we are able to.

Aside from the audio examples, each review will also feature a link to a separate page that will be dedicated to numbers and technical data. This will include all findings from the review that were not included to avoid the review being too dry. We understand that some users will want that deeper technical information that most would be turned off by. Some of this information might include some basic information, such as how many mono/stereo instances of a plug-in possible at different sample rates (where the original review only includes say 48khz for example), but could also include graphs and date from engineering tests we conduct on a piece of hardware, for example. These pages will also include a full reproduction of the original product specs and data originally provided by the manufacturers.

Frameworks
Each review will have a backbone created based on a framework specific to the type of product, for example, there is one framework for microphones, another for outboard, another for specific instruments, and so on and so forth. While each review will go above and beyond each framework, and will have a level of entertainment, what this allows us to do is to create a review that can more easily be compared with other reviews. We aim to create a series of reviews that are a little more useful by adding an easy way to compare and contrast products.

Future Content
Alongside the review content, we also continue to use products in content in a way that continues to showcase the product. Where applicable, we guarantee that each product we review, will also feature in 10 different pieces of content across its first year with us. We do mean meaningful content, so it wont just be in the background of a photo for example, it will be featured prominently. While this guarantee only covers the first year, we don’t get to a point where a product ‘falls off’ and suddenly becomes redundant in our content. If we create content in say two years that would suit your product, we wouldn’t second guess including that product in that content.

Multitracks

From December 2025, we will be offering monthly (and moving up to fortnightly) Multitracks for our users to mix and remix for their own portfolios. Our plan is to put the equipment we receive to use in creating these, with every multitrack that features a product being credited. We not only want to showcase a product during testing, but in actual use as well.

Integrity, Honesty, and Accuracy

Here are HSU, the above three items are an important part of our reviewing process. We never take money to review, we never follow an external agenda, and we try our best to give 100% accurate information.

We do share our reviews with manufacturers before they are published, but only for the purpose of factual correction. Those companies can point out any mistakes we may have made, but have no say in what opinions we write, and do not have the power to ask us to remove unfavourable (but accurate) critique.

Production:101

Outside of our normal content, we also plan to use any and all equipment we receive for review in our Production:101 course, which will help teach our readers about music production starting from the most basic rudimentary level. For more information on Production:101, click the link below.
